Lorsque le navigateur britannique James Cook a d\u00e9barqu\u00e9 en Australie en 1770, il a observ\u00e9 les populations aborig\u00e8nes utiliser les feuilles de cet arbre pour pr\u00e9parer une infusion. Intrigu\u00e9, il a tent\u00e9 de recr\u00e9er cette boisson, pensant qu\u2019il s\u2019agissait d\u2019un th\u00e9 local. Bien que l\u2019infusion n\u2019ait rien \u00e0 voir avec le th\u00e9 chinois ou indien, le nom \u00ab\u00a0Tea Tree\u00a0\u00bb est rest\u00e9. Aujourd\u2019hui, c\u2019est surtout pour son huile essentielle, r\u00e9put\u00e9e en aromath\u00e9rapie, que l\u2019arbre est c\u00e9l\u00e8bre !<\/p>\n
